• Developed Java microservices and APIs for Amazon’s Tax Payment service, which orchestrates the payment lifecycle for $10.2B in annual tax payments with 100% on-time payment delivery.
• Optimized DynamoDB queries with index creation, batching and query projection to eliminate API throttling and reduce latency by 60% (400ms to 150ms) in production, speeding up approver assignment and authorization for bulk tax payment workflows.
• Implemented an in-house permission service to replace a manual ticket-based access control system, enabling self-onboarding across multiple teams and reducing access approval time from days to seconds.
• Strengthened payment auditability by implementing audit logging and health metrics across 15 CDK-deployed services on EC2, enabling fast alerts on service degradation.
